Who inspires me?
I have been blessed to have the guide of an amazing woman, who's name is Maree Eddings . I first met Maree when I was working for a large corporate. She had come to do a temporary gig and then ended up staying and somehow ended up becoming my boss. It is funny to think of that now, given that both of us now work for ourselves.
For context in addition of being a highly talented executive leader, Maree is as an Energy Mentor and Consultant. This means, that she teaches people how to understand and use their energy. Finally someone, who could help me make sense of all those sh!tty feelings of stress!
When I was in corporate land, I felt overwhelmed, tired, exhausted, emotional and, well OVER IT. I remember feeling that something was not right, but I persisted, thinking this is how it is for everyone. If you want to get to "the top" you have to do the "hard yards" I had told myself repeatedly, whilst continually ignoring my body's signals.
I remember Maree taking the time to do some energy work with me and explaining to me how the body speaks to us and that essentially it is up to us if we listened. From these conversations I was able to understand that I needed to stop and listen and respect what my body was telling me. That was a big Aha in my life.
Second for me is Brene Brown. Brene is an amazing woman, who talks about Vulnerability and how important vulnerability is so that we can have authentic conversations.
